On June 6, 2004, my world as I knew it crumbled when I woke up to find my beautiful brother had died by suicide in my home. The most intense grief and horror consumed my body, catapulting me into overwhelming devastation and despair. For 6 months, I could only see darkness. One afternoon when I came home, a young neighbor who was 6 years old said to me, “You must really miss Adam.” I asked why she asked, and she replied, “I hear you cry every night.” This was my turning point as I decided I could not live like this any longer.
I was managing my career, but once I came home, I was reliving the grief of that tragic day. I decided that I could no longer live the existence I had been enduring. I decided to set some life-changing goals:
I achieved all of these goals in a matter of months. I then decided to publish a book titled “Surviving Suicide – How I Reclaimed My Life.” I wanted to tell my story to help people understand how losing someone to suicide affected me. It was during the editing stage that I became extremely ill and ended up in the hospital. After undergoing every test imaginable, the doctors could not find what was wrong with me.
A friend recommended that I see Dr. Morter for B.E.S.T. therapy. After 6 sessions, all of my ailments were completely resolved. It was such a powerful healing experience that I felt compelled to learn these techniques so I could help others. Since then, I have learned Emotional DNA Therapy, which permanently removes programs from the subconscious mind. I am now also a cacao breathwork ceremony facilitator and sound healer, among other amazing modalities.
